Our carbon black products deliver performance to increase conductivity and protect against electrical damage.
All carbon blacks are conductive; however, we have designed a range of products to enable customers to achieve optimal performance for their specific application. We offer a range of specialty carbon blacks and conductive compounds and concentrates that provide conductive, dissipative or antistatic performance in plastics and enable protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD). Our carbon black conductive portfolio for plastics offers products that enable standard conductivity, extra-high conductivity and low compound moisture absorption.
EXTRA CONDUCTIVE
Our extra-high conductive specialty carbon blacks such as VULCAN® XCmax™ 22 are designed to meet a range of application-specific requirements spanning the ESD conductivity range from dissipative to highly conductive without sacrificing the inherent polymer properties.

Conductive plastics are used to protect against premature failure or damage due to electrostatic discharge in a variety of applications such as automotive fuel systems, electronic and electrical packaging and equipment, and other plastics applications. Several ESD applications, such as electronic packaging are sensitive to moisture in the polymer compound. We offer products that enable low compound moisture absorption and thus help to protect parts from internal bubbles and surface defects that can be detrimental to the aesthetics and mechanical properties of the compound and final part.
