E2C® solutions offer manufacturers of industrial rubber products breakthrough improvements in abrasion and resilience, as well as mechanical strength.
Rubber is widely used in many industrial applications as it provides good wear life through a combination of elasticity, resilience, and cut and tear resistance. Improving the lifetime of rubber products helps to minimize maintenance stops and optimize throughput, reducing the total cost of ownership. Field tests of E2C® solutions used in industrial rubber product mining applications has shown average lifetime improvements of 20% to 50%, with one field test showing double the improvement from the previous test for 100% improvement from baseline.
Rubber mill liners must have excellent wear resistance to withstand the continuous grinding and impact of ore particles to ensure a long service life. High tensile strength is essential to withstand the enormous forces exerted during milling. In addition, rubber mill liners should also exhibit excellent elasticity and resilience to effectively absorb and dissipate energy, minimizing the risk of material fracture or failure.
Slurry pump and hydrocyclone liners operate at high speed and must withstand the impact of abrasive and corrosive slurries over the long term. Having sufficient mechanical strength to resist gouging and/or impact damage from sharp edged and/or oversized solids as well as excellent resilience for erosion resistance, which is the dominant wear mechanism in these applications, is needed for longer service life.
To handle the heavy loads and constant tension experienced during material transportation, rubber conveyor belts should have high tensile strength and should resist stretching or elongation, ensuring the conveyor belt remains stable and can efficiently carry the bulk materials. Outstanding wear resistance is also crucial to withstand the continuous impact of sharp and abrasive materials, such as rocks, ores, and coal, as well as good tear strength to prevent premature wear and tear, ensuring long service life and reducing maintenance costs.
Rubber tracks require exceptional traction to ensure optimum grip and maneuverability, and to operate efficiently and maintain control in challenging environments such as muddy fields or steep slopes. They also need to be durable enough to withstand constant exposure to heavy loads, sharp objects and abrasive materials to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Resistance to punctures, cuts and general wear is also essential for long service life as well as low rolling resistance for reduced fuel consumption and improved overall efficiency.
Rubber used in hose liners requires abrasion and erosion resistance to withstand the constant friction and wear caused by materials such as slurry, rocks and ores, and to prevent premature failure; and high tensile strength to withstand the substantial pressure and forces experienced during pumping and conveying operations.
